Ephesians 1:15-23

For this reason or therefore

Thanksgiving is a powerful weapon against the enemy, Thanks for all the principles--relationship with God and spiritual blessings.

Paul's prayer is that the Father may give us wisdom and revelation so we could know Him better.

John 14:15-21

Jesus calls the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth. Jesus is talking about the resurrection life--Because I live you also will live. The Holy Spirit is also called Counselor. The Holy Spirit can give us God's perspective and change ours.

1 John 2:1
Can be also used in a legal sense.

The Spirit reveals Jesus, so they may know Him better.
1 Corinthians 2:12

Wisdom--The ablility to see life from God's perspective.

Revelation--Enlightened understanding, insight into God Himself and the mysteries of His divine truth.

v18 That the eyes of your heart should be enlightened. When do you get your inheritance? When sombody dies. Jesus died so that we would have a glorious inheritance. When we die to flesh, we become and inheritance to God the Father.

Hebrews 4:12

Why doesn't Paul just use the word heart, rather than saying having the eyes of your heart enlightened?

The Amplified version says that your heart should be flooded with light. We are also known as children of light.

I remember hearing someone talk about "Revelation" before as uncovering.

I picture a fancy resteraunt with the silver covers over the food...

the food is there the whole time...

But when the cover is lifted, it is revealed...

This is what God does...it's always there but he Reveals it to us (uncovers)
