Kim Clement was prophecying on the Elijah List (click here). There will be something happening at the end of October. When God gives you a word it is the last comfortable hour for you on earth. Everything He speaks, the exact opposite will happen becuase there is a challenge. And we have what is needed to break that.
As Bill Gothard, said God gives you a vision and then ther is a death of the vision. As Jesus said we cant give fruit until we die to ourselves.

Tonight we talk about Elijah
Mal 4:5
The spirit of Elijah will come again. IT says in scripture that Elijah is a man like us. 1 Kings 18

v. 20 Elijah wanted the people to return to the Lord. v. 25-40

This was quite a victory for Elijah, he was at the pinnacle of victory at this point. Right after the great victory, Jezebel wanted to kill him and Elijah was discouraged (1 Kings 19:3-5)

Then Elijah ended up in Horeb, which means desolation, and spent forty days there. Both Jesus and Moses could relate to this. v10-14 the word zealous is used often.

But God uses "Horeb" he prepares us and realignes us and he reveals Himself. v.11

1 Kings 19:11-13

In the life of Joseph, he was sold into slavery by his brothers. How could that be the will of God? His father thought he was killed and yet God wove this in a beautiful tapestry of bringing life and sustenance to his people many years later.

God was showing different facets of Himself, one moment the fire and the next moment a still small voice. God was revealing himself to Elijah.

This shows a conrtrast and this is also a message to us. We are awaiting--what is God doing? But it may not be what we are expecting. One of our prayers is that we shouldn't miss what God has for us. Lord, help us to be tuned in to what you want and not what we want.

Rick Joyner says those who were in the last move of God often miss the next move of God and they end up persecuting the others. The history of the church reveals this. Many times, people say, that can't be God!

The place of desolation can be a place where God can reveal himself to us and also prepare us for greater things. There can also be a backlash.
