Surgery Update and New Prayer Request
The latest news is that our sister is doing okay-still very groggy and on pain meds...the family would prefer visitors after she gets home and is feeling a little better. Please pray for a quick recovery, relief of the pain, and that the Lord's presence would be with her and the family during this difficult time. Thank you for your prayers!
There is one more prayer request, a young boy will be receiving proton radiation treatment this week as a continuing treatment for a brain tumour. You have probably seen his father as an usher at church. Please pray that the radiation beams would only target the cancer and that the healthy brain cells would be left completely whole and untouched. The radiation will be focused on the central nervous system, which is a very sensitive area. He has some of the best doctors in the U.S. This week's schedule is 10:00am to 11:00am.
Thank YOU!!!!!!!
Prayer Request
One of the members of our group just had surgery, please pray for her. I just heard from her husband not long ago. The surgery was "successful." The doctor said that it was a "textbook" surgery and that she was the "perfect patient."
The night before the surgery was a little difficult. She was on some medication to prepare her for the surgery and it was quite powerful, she struggled to keep it down and ended up on the floor, heaving, and her husband had to call an ambulance at 4 am! In spite of the rough start, the surgery went well and things were "great"!
She is in some pain and the IV is helping her as she was dehydrated and nauseous. The bottom line, as her husband says, is that she is doing "very well!" Please continue to pray and we will update you later about visiting information when she is ready for visitors. Thank you so much for standing in prayer for the family, they are incredibly thankful and blessed! Praise God for watching over them and meeting their every need!
